The quote "I cannot say. A slave is not his own master" is attributed to Martin Luther King Jr., an American Baptist minister and civil rights activist. This quote is often referred to as a paraphrase or summary of his larger statement: "A slave is not his own master, but a slave is not a slave because he is a slave. He is a slave because he is a man. And when he becomes a man, he becomes his own master." King's original statement was made during his 1963 speech at the Second Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, where he emphasized the inherent human dignity and freedom of all people, regardless of their social or economic status. In this context, King was highlighting the contradiction between the idea that enslaved people were seen as property and the reality that they were still human beings with inherent value and autonomy. He argued that simply being human means having control over one's own life, thoughts, and decisions. This idea challenged the very foundations of slavery and the systemic injustices that perpetuated it. In essence, King's quote emphasizes that humans have the capacity for self-determination and should be recognized as such. It also underscores the importance of recognizing and respecting the inherent dignity and autonomy of all individuals, regardless of their circumstances. This quote has become an iconic statement in the civil rights movement, emphasizing the fight for equality, justice, and human rights.

Racism is never going to stop there shouldn't have been no segregation it should be more of an integration of all population that is fighting for the same right to exist being less than half a man to be a man that's a whole different story we should have stood together and create our own townships create our own destiny warning with the white man wanted was not the answer it was the downfall of our race we looked at one of the sit next to a white man and other than wanting to sit next to a black man creating a new generation of Heroes the United States government is not going to never in history no matter how many bills they sign allow black men and women to catch up live equal outside of being together the whole idea is to continuously keep the race down never given too much of an inch in order to change the statistics of poverty for Black America they work too hard to put it in place and they're never going to let it go they all said it is the black man fall for him not being able to make changes that would benefit him when in all actuality it is the government that is not and I repeat is not ever allowed truly equal

Can I say that I am Caucasian and have been treated like DIRT buy people who carry around the white priveledge attitude. I admit it does exist but be careful not to include all whites in this narrative. Perhaps because I have married and non-white, or consider myself a feminist or are un-privledged, they have always treated me in a way to make me feel less than, like trash or like I don't belong. I feel for you because it's not a good feeling and its a constant battle validating yourself as worthy in the face of these horrible and ignorant people!
